Living While Grieving Program

Let’s design a program together! The Living While Grieving Program is tailored to your unique needs.  There is a core structure to the program to help support you on your grief journey.  We will modify/add activities and topics that fit your needs.

Healing Happens in the Moments

Living While Grieving Program

HOW DOES IT WORK?

After scheduling an initial “planning” session and prior to meeting, you will be sent questionnaires and areas of interest forms to help guide the initial session.  This allows me time to prepare so we can make the best use of our time together.

The first session will focus on building rapport and designing your program.  You will provide me with background information and the points where you are struggling and feel stuck.  We will discuss your individual goals and the best way to work towards them to fit your preferences and needs.

Again, everything about this program is tailored to you. After the initial session you will be provided with options and my suggestions.  You may like to take some time to think about what activities and topics you would like to cover during the program. There is no pressure to decide right away.  Some like to utilize a second session to work towards planning.

Don’t stress if you are not sure what you want out of the program.   We will figure that out together and it remains flexible and adaptable as we proceed.  We can edit things as you become more familiar with the process so there is no pressure as we initially design your program.  It just gives us a solid point to start from and we will continue to collaborate throughout the process.

During the planning session we will go into more detail of possible activities and topics.

Already know what you want from the program? Great! Let’s figure out how to make that happen.

Not sure where to start? That is okay too.

Possible topics may include, a specific death, loss of child, sibling, spouse, parent, death by suicide, death by overdose, sudden deaths, death after long illnesses, anticipatory grief, secondary losses, ambiguous grief, disenfranchised grief, loss of identity, finding meaning, self-care, strengthening connections and support systems, ways to honor our loved ones and include their memory on holidays and birthdays, finding meaning and purpose, guilt, shame, regret, old wounds, self-doubt, grief vs. mourning, getting over it vs reconciliation and non-death losses.

Activities can include writing, music, psychoeducation, meditations, mindfulness, and interventions to support processing your grief and work towards healing.  These may be things we do together in session and/or homework in between sessions.

This unique to you program is designed to support you in depth in your grief journey.  We will discuss frequency and duration of sessions as we design your program.  Sessions are paid for one session at a time as we go.  There is no commitment if you decide the program is not for you or would like to change the frequency of sessions at any point as we work together.

Grief is draining, painful and heavy.  Let me help you carry the weight.
